Team

Prof. Dr. med. Eike Nagel

Graduate of the University of Cologne, Eike started his professional career as a Cardiologist at the German Heart Institute in Berlin. Between 2007 and 2015 he was Professor of Cardiovascular Imaging at King's College London, United Kingdom.


Since 2015 he is a Professor and Head of the Institute for Experimental and Translational Cardiovascular Imaging at the Goethe-University Frankfurt a. Main, Germany.


He is author of more than 350 scientific articles focused on cardiology, in renowned publications like Nature Medicine, the New England Journal of Medicine, Circulation and the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.


He is the founder of Goethe CVI GmbH, a medtech startup with a mission to reduce the burden of cardiovascular disease by effective and efficient use of cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Ass. Prof. Dr. Valentina Puntmann

Graduate of the University of Ljubljana where she received both her MD - Doctor of Medicine and PhD - Doctor of Science in Cardiovascular Pharmacology, she began her career as a Cardiology/Internal Medicine Specialist at the University Clinical Centre of Ljubljana, Slovenia.


Between 2016 and 2011 she worked as a Specialist Registrar in Cardiovascular Pharmacology at the Imperial College of London, United Kingdom. For three years, she was a Senior Lecturer in Translational Medicine and Cardiovascular Imaging at King's College London.


Valentina is also an active medical practitioner, working as Consultant Cardiologist for private clinics in the United Kingdom and having her own private practice in Germany. Since 2015, she is the Deputy Head of the Institute for Experimental and Translational Cardiovascular Imaging at the Goethe-University Frankfurt a. Main, Germany.


She is author of more than 150 scientific articles extensively covering cardiovascular imaging, and more recently the impact of COVID on the human heart published in renowned journals like Nature Medicine and JAMA Network.


Valentina is founder of Goethe-CVI.

Oskar Puntmann

Oskar currently studies English Law and German Law Dual Degree LLB at University College London, United Kingdom and the Universität zu Köln, Germany.

He works as an administrative assistant at First Sentinal Wealth, London, UK.


Oskar is CEO of Goethe-CVI.

The current Goethe-CVI team also consists of specialists in computer science and machine learning, product development, and quality management systems. With an international profile, the current roles at Goethe-CVI cover product development and management, machine learning, data mining, artificial intelligence, quality management specialists, and project managers.
